This is a sketch of my daughter picking strawberries at a farm near Taylor, Texas. Our little family of three managed to pick 21 pounds of strawberries! Needless to say, we are still eating delicious freezer jam.

I sketched this picture of my daughter walking to the car after the 2008 Red Poppy Festival in Georgetown, Texas. After much frivolity (and cotton candy), her mood became somber when it was time to leave.
A couple of years ago, we joined friends on a camping trip alongside the Guadaloupe River. My daughter took full advantage of playing in a shallow section of the water, entertaining herself for hours. I think this simple watercolor with ink captures her playful, childlike wonder.
